Every ERC-5564 payment emits an announcement so its receiver can find it. These numbers count them on mainnet, for every wallet and app, read by your browser from Blockscout, a public explorer.
Why the whole network, not our users. Counting our own users would mean tagging their payments, and a tag is a fingerprint. We grow the crowd everyone hides in, so we measure the crowd.
Method. Your browser reads Announcement events from the ERC-5564 Announcer 0x5564…5564 and StealthMetaAddressSet events from the ERC-6538 Registry 0x6538…6538 through Blockscout's public API, newest first, up to 1,000 events. Days are rolling 24-hour windows ending now. Other chains and pre-standard contracts (such as Umbra's) are not counted here; the leak study covers both.
